To: North Dakota Health Care Providers and Administrators As part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, Health Information Technology Regional Extension Centers will provide education and technical assistance to help providers select, implement, and achieve meaningful use of certified EHR technology, as well as the ability to exchange health information with other providers and agencies. The Key Health Alliance from Minnesota is applying to be the HIT Regional Extension Center for both Minnesota and North Dakota. The Key Health Alliance will work with North Dakota Health Care Review Inc. and with the Center for Rural Health to provide these services in North Dakota. In order to successfully compete for this funding and to develop a program that serves North Dakota and Minnesota, an expression of provider interest is needed. Please review the attached information as soon as possible, try to participate in one of the informational calls (all calls are the same), and send in your letter of commitment for inclusion in the grant application. This is applicable to ALL ND providers—rural and urban. If you have further questions, please contact Susan Severson with the Key Health Alliance at (952) 854-3306 or Marlene Miller at the Center for Rural Health (701) 777-3848. Thank you. Marlene Miller, MSW, LCSW |
