  The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has began Provider Outreach for the Recovery Audit Contracts (RACs).
  
  The schedule for Provider Outreach in each state by CMS staff and representatives from the RAC is continuously being updated as new meetings are identified and the program continues its rollout. Please visit the schedule often at to see the latest version.

• New CMS Fact Sheet on Swing Beds
  CMS recently released a Swing Bed Fact Sheet (revised April 2009). The fact sheet outlines the requirements for hospital and critical access hospital swing bed arrangements.
• North Dakota Hospitals
  North Dakota has 47 licensed and certified general acute care hospitals. There are currently 35 Critical Access Hospitals, two Indian Health Service Units, and three Psychiatric Facilities. North Dakota has 38 rural hospitals.
