We have collected successful ideas of those who have completed the needs assessment in the past. If you have had success, please send us an e-mail and let us know so that we can share your ideas with others.
Surveying Ideas (Face-to-face visits are the best):
During a transport
At a meal-on-wheels visit
Have other young/able-bodies native elders make the visit
Youth in the sr. high often need to do some community outreach, so having them pair up to do this
Combining it with a home health visit
Tribal employees getting a paid day to conduct interviews in the community
Ideas for what you can give the elders to thank them for taking the time:
Your time and conversation
Wild rice
Coupons for the casino
A chance to bring other helpful items (one tribe connected their visits with safety visits) to fix/install smoke alarms
A chance to share food
