Primary Care Office (PCO)

State Community Matching Physician Loan Repayment Program: Nurse Practitioners, Physicians Assistants, Certified Nurse Midwives

Eligible Providers...

  • Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants and Certified Nurse Midwives must be... enrolled in or graduated from an accredited training program in this state or may be a North Dakota resident enrolled in or graduated from an accredited program in another state or Canada.
  • Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants and Certified Nurse Practitioners must be... licensed to practice in North Dakota and must agree to practice two years in a selected area.

Eligible Communities....

  • Community must be... located in a HPSA, or have a population of 15,000 or less.
  • Must be willing to accept Medicare & Medicaid assignments and provide a two year provider contract in the community.

Repayment Requirements....

  • Providers must... agree to provide primary care services in eligible communities for a minimum of two years.
  • Receive up to $30,000 to help repay your educational loans.
