SEARCH

Application Procedure

  • Fill out the online application form and hit submit to automatically send it to the project director.
  • Discuss eligible sites with project director and make arrangements for the rotation with preceptor and community representative
  • 90% of the rotations must be in health professional shortage areas (HPSA) or medically underserved areas (MUA)
  • Complete a pre- and post- evaluation form, journal, and community project

Program Funding

  • Housing and meals, in most cases, are provided by the participating facilities and communities; arrangements will be made, where possible, for transportation to the site. Students will receive a $1000 stipend for participating in SEARCH.
