VA Central Region Rural Health Resource Center (VISN)
The VA Central Region Rural Health Resource Center supports a number of new initiatives to enhance health care delivery to rural veterans and close gaps in quality and access to care that may result from the geographic isolation faced by rural veterans. Rural Health Resource Centers, or RHRCs, support and improve the care that is given by the Veterans Health Administration and the Office of Rural Health to rural Veterans. RHRCs study what is important for rural Veterans, test new programs to see if they really do help Veterans, serve as experts on rural Veterans' health, and help to educate rural Veterans. Rural Health Resource Centers are located in three parts of the United States. They are:
Eastern Region RHRC: White River, Vermont
Central Region RHRC: Iowa City, Iowa
Western Region RHRC: Salt Lake City, Utah
