Sheila Johnson, BS

Sheila Johnson is the Research Coordinator for the Center for Rural Health (CRH) at the University of North Dakota (UND) School of Medicine and Health Science. She works in the CRH’s satellite office located in Minot, ND.

In this position, she is responsible for research coordination for the Area Health Education Center and Health Workforce Pipeline needs assessment and the North Dakota Nursing Needs Study. She is responsible for assisting with survey development and administration, implementation of procedures for data collection, inputting, cleaning and analyzing data, and creating and preparing databases and written reports on data findings. She also works to strengthen relationships with rural health stakeholders, administrators, providers, and healthcare partners. She coordinates special projects related to program objectives, as well as prepares and presents outcomes of survey results to rural health stakeholders.

Before joining the CRH, Johnson worked as a Loan Closer/Account Representative for Farm Credit Services, a Business Analyst for ING, and most recently as a consultant for Vertex, Inc. A Harvey, ND, native, Johnson received a Bachelor of Science degree in education from Minot State University.

Established in 1980, the Center for Rural Health is one of the nation's most experienced rural health organizations. It has developed a full complement of programs to assist researchers, educators, policymakers, health care providers and, most importantly, rural residents to address changing rural environments by identifying and researching rural health issues, analyzing health policy, strengthening local capabilities, developing community-based alternatives, and advocating for rural concerns.
