Rebecca Quinn, program director of the North Dakota Brain Injury Network (NDBIN), presented an overview of brain injury June 25 at an educational event held in New Town, North Dakota.

The daylong event was held at Four Bears Casino and helped participants understand the prevalence and the long-term impacts of brain injury; identify how brain injury impacts an individual's ability access services; and recognize the unique experiences of each individual's recovery from brain injury.

"NDBIN was pleased to partner with Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara Nation to offer this opportunity to share culturally relevant information about brain injury and were honored to be able to conclude the day with four community members sharing their personal experience with brain injury," Quinn said.
