Addressing Farm Stress Webinar Series

The Mountain Plains Mental Health Technology Transfer Center just announced the first topic in a series of webinars addressing farm stress. The upcoming webinar is titled:

Introduction to Farm Stress: Mental Health Needs Among Diverse Farm Populations

  • November 25 @ 12:00 - 1:00 pm Central
    Learn about the definition of farm stress and its contributing factors, the impact of farm stress on the family, and how farming demographics and associated stress may vary by U.S. region. Additionally, this session will introduce resources that exist for farmers experiencing stress and suicide risk and it will address the ongoing gaps and barriers to utilizing mental health services among agricultural communities.
    Presenters: Thomasine Heitkamp, Director of the Mountain Plains Mental Health Technology Transfer Center, and Dr. Shawnda Schroeder with the Center for Rural Health
