Apr 26, 2023
The Rural
Collaborative Opportunities for Occupational Learning in
Health (R-COOL-Health) Scrubs Camps are one-day health
career awareness camps in rural communities. A
partnership of a local healthcare facility, economic or
job development authority, and a school create a one-day
camp for students to learn about careers in healthcare
from local healthcare professionals. Scrubs Camps are
focused on rural students in grades 5-12. The overall
purpose of the program is to increase awareness,
interest, and understanding of health careers available
in rural North Dakota through creative and interactive
activities. This exciting program is coordinated by the
Center for Rural Health at the University of North Dakota
School of Medicine & Health Sciences.
