Threadgold Named Chairperson for National Advisory Council

Nicole Threadgold, senior project coordinator for the Center for Rural Health (CRH), has been named chairperson for the Technical Assistance & Services Center (TASC)/Small Rural Hospital Improvement Program (SHIP) Advisory Council at the National Rural Health Resource Center (NRHRC).
National Rural Health Resource Center
NRHRC provides technical assistance, information, tools and resources for the improvement of rural healthcare. Two of the programs they work with nationwide are the state Medicare Rural Hospital Flexibility Programs (Flex) and SHIP. One component of this work is the TASC/SHIP Advisory Council.
Advisory Council Role
The role of the TASC/SHIP Advisory Council chair includes the following:
- Connecting with the TASC/SHIP team at the National Rural Health Resource Center in advance of meetings to set the topical discussion, provide feedback and suggestions on other topics
- Guide the meeting agenda
- Prompt the Council members during topical discussion
- Serve as a champion of the role of TASC and SHIP-TA, aiding TASC to further identify opportunities for performance improvement in meeting the needs of the state Flex Programs, partners, and the rural communities these programs serve
Threadgold will complete her first year on the Advisory Council in August and will serve a second year term through August 2024. She has been with CRH since December 2020, where she oversees the coordination of North Dakota Flex and SHIP activities, and works with the Rural Health Value project.
