Specialized assessments
Development and implementation of Flex grant program. There are four types of
grants available to Critical Access Hospitals (and those considering conversion):
Network Enhancement Grants that fund a CAH and at least one other legal
entity working together to address rural health issues;
EMS Network Grants that fund a CAH working with at least two certified
ambulance units;
CAH Grants that fund financial analysis/assessments, program development,
community engagement, and local task force development; and
Making a Difference Grant that funds a previously awarded CAH (and its
network partners if applicable) service/program that is continuing to make a
difference to its service area.
