Mental Health Needs of Hospital
Workforce
A study was conducted in 2021 to examine the mental well-being of hospital workforce by a team that included
a rural hospital CEO, a University of North Dakota faculty member, and a Center for Rural Health staff
member.

Rural and Public Health Award Recipients
The Rural and Public Health Awards Banquet will present 10 awards to outstanding North Dakota rural health
advocates for their accomplishments on June 9.

The Flex Annual Meeting will be held in Grand Forks on June 8 prior to the Dakota Conference on Rural and
Public Health.

A new journal article in Psychological Services, co-authored by Dr. Jacque Gray, focuses on the Three Sisters
Model, training for behavioral health students to learn culturally-competent approaches to working with
AI/AN communities.
