The annual NDBIN Mind Matters Conference will be held in Mandan, North Dakota, and available virtually. The
keynote speaker this year is Kim Gorgens, a neuropsychologist who has worked for decades studying and
treating the brain.

Health
The 2023 Dakota Conference on Rural and Public Health will be held on June 14-16 in Bismarck. Connect with
healthcare professionals, educators, and students from across the state to discuss strategies and challenges
related to rural health.
- The nomination deadline for the Outstanding Rural Health Awards is March 1.
- The scholarship application deadline is March 1.
- The deadline for sponsor and exhibitor registration is March 15.
- Early bird registration is open for attendees. Registration and payment are due by May 24.

Hospitals (CAHs) and Rural Health Clinics on April 25-26, in Minot.

Rural Emergency
Hospital Opportunity
The new Rural Emergency Hospital (REH) provider designation is now an option for CAHs to consider
converting to, as of January 1. The Flex Program and the North Dakota Hospital Association have partnered to
provide statewide education related to the REH designation through August 31.

A request for proposals is now open for the North Dakota CAH Subcontract Program. Deadlines are on a rolling
basis.
