Clinics and Federally Qualified Health Centers During the
COVID-19 Public Health Emergency
To support Rural Health Clinics (RHCs), Federally
Qualified Health Centers, and their patients, Congress
and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services
released revisions April 30 to requirements and payments
during the COVID-19 public health emergency:
- Additional claims submission and processing instructions
- Information on cost-sharing related to COVID-19 testing
- Additional information on telehealth flexibilities
- Information on provider-based RHCs exemption to the RHC payment limit
Trump Administration Issues Second Round of
Sweeping Changes to Support U.S. Healthcare System During
COVID-19 Pandemic
These changes, issued by the Centers for Medicare &
Medicaid Services, have been informed by requests from
healthcare providers as well as by the Coronavirus Aid,
Relief, and Economic Security Act.
