The Center for Rural Health (CRH) announces the retirement of Jan Flatin, after more than 20 years of service to the University of North Dakota (UND). Jan is leaving after nine years of working as an administrative assistant at CRH.

In this position, Jan has offered clerical support, coordination of meetings, provided administrative support, travel arrangements and reimbursements, and has been responsible for auditing department financials, and other general administrative support for CRH, North Dakota Area Health Education Center (ND AHEC) program office, and Project ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes). She was previously on the National Indigenous Elder Justice Initiative project.

"Jan has been a valuable member of the CRH team and provided excellent assistance with ND AHEC and Project ECHO, along with helping CRH operations overall. She will be missed, and we wish her well in her retirement," said Jacob Warren, director of CRH.

Jan started working on the UND campus in 1997 part time as a receptionist at Psychological Services. She became a full-time employee in 2005 at Telecommunications before serving as the administrative secretary to the vice president of Student Affairs, University and Public Affairs, and Ceremonies and University Events.

Jan's last day was July 3.
