Dakota Conference on Rural and Public Health, June 17-19, 2025 at the Bismarck Event Center, Bismarck, North Dakota

The 40th annual Dakota Conference on Rural and Public Health is taking place June 17-19, 2025, in Bismarck, North Dakota at the Bismarck Event Center. The Dakota Conference provides an opportunity for over 300 healthcare professionals, educators, and students to share strategies for building and sustaining healthy communities in North Dakota. It includes preconference workshops, keynote speakers, breakout sessions, poster presentations, and an awards banquet.

Outstanding Rural Health Awards Nominations

Nomination Deadline: February 13, 2025 at 11:59 pm Central

Each year, champions of rural healthcare are honored with awards at the Dakota Conference. We are asking for nominations for nine of these awards:

  • Outstanding Rural Health Provider Award
  • Outstanding Rural Health Professional Award
  • Outstanding Rural Health Volunteer Award
  • Outstanding Rural Educator/Mentor Award
  • Emerging Rural Leader Award
  • Legislator of the Year Award
  • Outstanding Rural Health Career Award
  • Excellence in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Award

Scholarship Funds Available

Application Deadline: February 28, 2025 at 5:00 pm Central

A limited number of scholarships are available to cover registration costs for the Dakota Conference through the State Office of Rural Heath grant program at the Center for Rural Health. The funds will cover the conference registration fee only – hotel and travel are not covered. Preference will be given to applicants who are attending the conference for the first time.
