Chia-Lin Chang, PhD
Research Assistant Professor

Chia-Lin Chang is a research assistant professor with the Center for Rural Health at the University of North Dakota (UND) School of Medicine & Health Sciences in Grand Forks.

Chia-Lin works with the National Resource Center on Native American Aging (NRCNAA) to conduct research on rural health disparities, geographic variation in health outcomes and healthcare utilization, chronic disease management, and health equity among underserved populations. She also contributes to the NRCNAA Needs Assessments, health disparities research, and data analysis supporting American Indian and Alaska Native communities. Additionally, Chia-Lin serves as the evaluator for the North Dakota Area Health Education Center Program, where she works with program evaluation activities and supports workforce development initiatives across the state. Before joining CRH, Chia-Lin worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga.

Originally from Taiwan, Chia-Lin earned a Master of Library Sciences and Information Studies from National Taiwan Normal University, and a Master of Public Health and PhD in educational foundation and research from UND. Chia-Lin is also the principal investigator of the Geographic and Behavioral Drivers of Chronic Disease Risk and Management in North Dakota grant program.
