2026-2027 Scrubs Camp Grant Recipients Announced

The
Rural
Collaborative Opportunities for Occupational Learning in
Health (R-COOL-Health) Scrubs Camp grant recipients
for the 2026-2027 cycle have been awarded. Scrubs Camps
are one-day camps held in rural communities that are
organized through a partnership among a local healthcare
facility, an economic job development authority, and a
school. Scrubs Camps target students in grades 5-12 to
introduce them to careers in healthcare in fun,
interactive ways.

- Bakken Area Skills Center in Watford City
- CHI Oakes Hospital in Oakes
- Coal Country Community Health Center in Beulah
- First Care Health Center in Park River
- Jacobson Memorial Hospital Care Center in Elgin
- Nelson County Health System in McVille
- Northeast Education Services Cooperative in Devils Lake
- Northland Health Centers in Turtle Lake
- Pembina County Memorial Hospital in Cavalier
- SMP Health St. Aloisius in Harvey
- SMP Health St. Andrew's in Bottineau
- Unity Medical Center in Grafton
The Scrubs Camps will be held between September 1, 2026, and April 16, 2027. The 12 camps that will be hosted in the coming months will reach over 134 communities and approximately 1,454 students around North Dakota.
