Virtual Concussion Symposium to be Held on September 13

North Dakota Brain Injury Network The 5th annual Virtual Concussion Symposium is being held on September 13, from 9:00 am – 4:30 pm Central. The symposium is free to attend and registration is now open. Presentations feature new concussion research, trends, practice strategies, and collaborative modes of care from a diverse group of experts in the field of brain injury. The symposium is facilitated by the North Dakota Brain Injury Network (NDBIN) at the University of North Dakota Center for Rural Health (CRH).

Rebecca Quinn, associate director for CRH and program director for NDBIN, highlights the importance of the event. "The symposium is an opportunity to come together as a community to share the research, treatments, and innovative efforts in the area of concussions," she said. "This year, we are including a session on the heightened suicide risk after concussion and the role brain injury plays in intimate partner violence."
