Powerful Tools for
Caregivers Virtual Course
The Powerful Tools for Caregivers course, hosted by NDBIN, helps caregivers take better care of themselves
while caring for a friend or relative. This virtual six-week series gives you the confidence to better care
for your loved one and yourself. This course is free for North Dakota residents and is held on Thursdays,
beginning September 11.

Certified Brain Injury Specialist Virtual
Training
The Brain Injury Association of America's Academy of Certified Brain Injury Specialists is offering this
certification program for professionals working in brain injury services on September 16 and 17. The cost of
the training is free, but there is a fee for the certification exam. This training is facilitated by
NDBIN.

Nicole Virgin, a fourth-year medical student at UND School of Medicine &
Health Sciences, writes about aging in place. She is part of the Targeted Rural Health Education project,
which helps resident physicians and health profession students take a closer look at the health needs of
communities in which they are training.
