Rural Community Toolbox: Funding & Tools to Build Healthy Drug-Free Rural Communities

The Rural Community Toolbox: Funding & Tools to Build Healthy Drug-Free Rural Communities website, or the Rural Community Toolbox, features federal resources, programs, and funding to help rural communities address substance use disorder (SUD), including opioid use disorder, and a wide range of issues related to SUD. The website provides access to a community assessment tool and resources organized by:

  • Funding
  • Treatment and Services for Individuals
  • Information on SUD and Opioids
  • Expert Help and Training

The Rural Community Toolbox website is operated by the University of North Dakota Center for Rural Health. Funding for the project comes from the United States Department of Agriculture, through a subcontract from the NORC Walsh Center for Rural Health Analysis.
