Native American Veterans Stand Down Event

In June, the third annual North
Dakota Native American Veteran Stand Down event will
be held in New Town, North Dakota. This two-day event
brings programs and resources together to connect Native
Veterans with services offered across the state. The
National Resource
Center on Native American Aging is a partner in the
event.
The event is open to North Dakota Native American Veterans, spouses, family members, caretakers, Tribal leaders, Tribal Veterans services officers, and any organizations who serve Native Veterans.

Stand Down is a military term used to describe a relaxed status or withdrawal from a state of alert or readiness. Stand Down is designed as an intervention to bring a wide range of essential services to Veterans, while raising their morale and awakening their motivation.
