Primary Care Week: October 23 – 27

National Primary Care Week is an annual event held to highlight the importance of primary care and bring healthcare professionals together to discuss and learn about generalist and interdisciplinary healthcare, particularly its impact on and importance to underserved populations.

Events during the week will be held at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine & Health Sciences (SMHS) in Grand Forks and virtually via Zoom.

Dr. Melissa Henke is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and the American Board of Preventive Medicine in Addiction Medicine. Hear Dr. Henke speak about her career path, her current practice, the importance of mental health services for healthcare professionals. Additionally, she will speak about how incorporating mental health and addiction medicine into a primary care practice can help entire communities.
