Community-Based Behavioral Health Project

The Community-Based Behavioral Health Project includes a variety of tools to help providers working with adults with behavioral health needs. The project consists of an online toolkit, webinar series, and in-person training opportunities.

The toolkit provides resources to help understand and track behaviors, implement de-escalation strategies, and support caregivers working with individuals who have common mental health conditions. It includes practical information, guidance, and caregiver tips to promote effective communication, safety, and person-centered support. It also includes resources to help provide person-centered care and self-care strategies to help avoid caregiver burnout.

The webinar series features live trainings focused on providing high-quality care for aging adults, adults with developmental disabilities, and adults with co-occurring mental health needs. Led by experts in their fields, these webinars offer practical strategies, best practices, and foundational training to help direct care professionals build their skills and provide person-centered, high-quality care.

The in-person trainings will provide an opportunity to learn about a variety of behavioral health topics, see how they can be applied to in-home care settings, and gather helpful resources. All live trainings will be recorded and available to view later.
